John's throat cancer returned June 2017, he opted for Hospice as opposed to treatment this time. He passed away April 6, 2018 in Denver, CO. Will add an obituary hopefully later.
So sad to hear this news. I fondly remember John from EHS days and was glad we got to chat a bit at the 50th reunion a couple years ago. Rest in peace, John.
John was a kind and gentle soul. The year after we graduated, John, Jim Shields and I carpooled to Everett Junior College every day. We daily shared conversation, laughs and stories during our commute. I lost touch when I transferred to CWU, but kept tabs on John from others. John was one of a kind and the world is a little sadder place without him.

I did not know John well, though it saddens me to know that we have lost a great classmate. Rest in peace, John.
